The latest and greatest with the Hamblins . . .

Family Fun
At the end of the summer, we spent a day in the mountains with Ann and the Chuck and Kristin's family. First a hike to Ruth Lake, and them some fun boating at the Mirror Lake. As you can see from the photos, Emma enjoyed both.

Ruth Lake
First boat ride! Mirror Lake.

Who wouldn't love to be packed around and still see all the beauty?

Jim

So, BYU's football season has begun. Jim traveled to 'Ole Miss and Texas.

How cool am I?

Time has flown!

Hailey
Hailey is now a student at BYU and moved into Heritage Halls, Horne Hall.  Scary, exciting, all at once.

Heidi, Sam, Hailey at a BYU football game - It's what you do as a student.

Hailey and her roommates. She didn't know any of them, but loves them all.

Paige
Paige made the OHS soccer team as one of the goalies. She played well, but unfortunately, she couldn't finish out the season because she tore her ACL, again. The left leg this time. It was heart wrenching to hear her cry out, "No, no no! Not Again!" while holding her knee and crying after going down. It was a sad day. This is the second year in a row she has had to sit out of soccer and basketball because of torn ACL's. Though it's discouraging, she has a great attitude and is on the mend after having surgery at the end of September.

Happy 16th Birthday!!!
Paige had a carnival-type party with a bunch of friends to celebrate the long awaited birthday. Everyone wore costumes, played games, ate pizza and cotton candy, and watched a movie. Pretty fun time for a now driving and dating young lady.

Best friends. Amy, Paige, Allison

Bugs - Paige and Georgia
Two little ladybugs.
Who knew Dopey could make cotton candy?

Cup cakes were the main dessert, but I thought I'd make a cake so that we had something to put 16 candles on. Unfortunately, time was running out and my creative juices ran dry. This was literally minutes before leaving for the party, which was held at Jim's work. The cake turned out pretty ugly, even though it was supposed to be kind of cute-ugly with a Halloween flare. It really was just plain and ugly. Sorry Paige! At least the party was a success.

She's not just a kid anymore. Beautiful girl.

Emma
Some cute pics of the little one. She loves to get her picture taken.

I love these pictures! Hailey took them with her very nice camera.

Fun with cousins at Mirror Lake and Ruth Lake.

Train them up in the ways to cheer . . . and when they grow up they will not depart from it. :)

Happy 1st Birthday, Emma!
We had a small party for Emma, just invited Grandma Hamblin to come over. It was after Paige's soccer game and was getting late, so it was like, "Here, open these presents, demolish the cupcake, and let's get you ready for bed." Nothing fancy, but she seemed to enjoy it all the same. We'll do something bigger and better when she knows what's going on.

Opening gifts - Emma wasn't really sure what was up, but did like the attention she received.

Cupcakes for a toddler.

A tired birthday girl wondering why the candle.

Tasty treat.
One sticky mess.
